Due to major work on Route Blanche, traffic flow on the RN 205 will be changed from today until October 14th. The ATMB is going to put safety nets on the rock wall along the road on the left, ie the descent from Chamonix to Le Fayet.

During the work, the downhill road will be closed to all traffic, and all vehicules will be directed onto the Egratz viaduct, which will become two-way.

The work will take six weeks - please be extremely cautious if taking this route down to Sallanches.
