Depuis lundi, la commune de St Gervais déconseille la voie royale du Mont Blanc. Suite à l'écroulement de blocs rocheux, les services de l'Etat ont examiné l'ampleur du phénomène. Les conclusions ont été transmises au Maire de St Gervais.

On rappelle que la mairie de St Gervais a interdit par arrêté municipal le camping au bivouac de Tête Rousse. L'arrêté municipal pris lundi est toujours en cours.

La fête des Guides est l'un des moments forts de l'été. Aujourd’hui le premier rendez-vous est au Lavancher pour la fête du pain à partir de 16h. Demain, les guides seront aux Houches, alors que l’appel des guides, c’est dimanche à Argentière et lundi à Chamonix, à chaque fois sur le parvis de l’église.

Cette année, les guides mettent une famille à l’honneur, un père et son fils, Armand et Léon Couttet, respectivement président de la Compagnie des Guides de 1941 à 45 et de 1949 à 1952.

The PGHM Chamonix has faced major rescue this weekend.

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a climber has suffered of a pulmonary edema while he was in the Bivouac de la Fourche between France and Italy in the combe Maudite.

It was a caravan on foot of 4 rescuers and a doctor who rescued the climber during the night.

Then around 7am on Sunday morning, the helicopter was able to intervene and evacuate everyone.

town has voted a grant of 10,000 euros to help the victims of Japan.

At Friday night's city council, elected officials have chosen to help Japan, as the city of Fujiyoshida, twin city of Chamonix. This city had helped the Chamonix Valley during the disasters of 1999.
